I have been in the market for a while for a new Honda Accord Hybrid. Recently, I've gone on Autotrader and cars.com and I've seen a lot of gas Accords being advertised as Hybrids. The pictures that are associated with the listing clearly depict a non-hybrid Accord. I wouldn't normally get my panties in a bunch about this, but there are a lot of listings that mirror this. I mean a lot! Is this normal or should l look elsewhere when shopping for my new car? Thanks!

Have you gone to the dealerships and confirmed they are not Hybrids? I find that many times with new cars the dealerships will post a photo of what they have on hand when the car is inbound. Maybe they don't want to retake images so they post what they have. The VIN should match the car they are actually selling.

There is a dealer in my area with the same photo of a white Sport for months but the description and VIN changes as they get new cars in.

Many places use "stock" photos for new cars, orig. photos for used ones.
