20K for me. Mine is now 8 months old, and we put a few K down. Putting 20% down on your first house sure does kill a savings acct...:thumbsdow

But I now have a place to park my baby....

Paid cash when I got my car so I owe nothing, and we have no lien on the Ody either. To explain, I am not rich at all (and in fact am being pumped monthly for child support payments since 1992 :paranoid:), but when we bought our latest house we took a step down (got a house that's "good enough" so we won't be house-poor anymore). That and I cashed in a few investments.

let's see.....

winshield, rust, motor mount, tranny.....

oh wait, this thread is about loan payments, not what needs repaired.... silly me.... :lmao:

Just over $9,500

I've got an '04 LX V-6 coupe.... Bought in April '05. It was a very lucky find on the back lot while my Civic Si was getting serviced; the dealer seemed to have forgotten they had it. I made out pretty well at $18.9K and $2K over the book trade-in on my Si.

I have been paying on my 06 for about a year and I'm only down to about $22,600 (started at $27,100)

None of the above. About mid 2006 it appeared I was going to be forced into personal bankruptcy by early '07. I decided to redeem some US savings bonds I had for decades and pay off the car.......You CAN NOT get my car!
Since then things turned and went in a better direction I'm very glad to say.
Great story.....Im really happy for you.

Im going to keep my Accord for the next "who knows" how many years. Im quietly awaiting the time of no car payments again.

On another quick note.......I had a 95 Accord Coupe......loaded with a nice Alpine, RF sub, DEI 5 channel amp system, custom wheels, and more.......it was paid off. Got a divorce......wanted a feel good purchase and sold my Accord.......plopped $6000 down on a MB C280.

What a mistake.......took on a new payment on a car that is very high maintenance.

Oh well, I will be payment free soon.

$950:banana:

i have been working my a$$ off to pay her off.
2 or 3 more months, and she will be all mine:dude:

Did you buy a last generation C280?

My MB has been mechanically flawless past the date of the orig. warranty expiration. Only issue since then is my door lock I think... but I have an extended service plan to cover it.

Yeah.....it was a 2000 MB. It didnt break down or anything......the maintenance was getting expensive since my warranty ran out a 50K. :dunno:

$12,649.99 for me, although as soon as my other car sells that will be cut in about half. :)

I'm hoping to have her paid off by by the time I've had her one year.

13k here, and she's one year old at the end of next week. No complaints, I've sent the check in with a smile on my face every month just knowing that I don't have to torture my back with the seats in my old Civic anymore!
