Fuel Economy: ~23.5 miles/gallon average w/ 75% city & 25% highway (+/- 1 mile/gallon)


Notes:

- I use OEM oil-filter & Pennzoil synthetic motor-oil

- I get ~5 miles/gallon more if it's 75% highway & 25% city

- The ethanol additive got more common a year or so ago locally, which affects my fuel-economy by ~2.5 miles/gallon.

- For a mid-sized family sedan that has full-size interior room, I'm ok w/ my fuel-economy though I'd wish it was higher. But, I'm sure a lot of it is due to the type of driving (not as much highway cruising), A/C on high for at least 8 months of the year, ethanol additive, an i4 getting a mid-size sedan to move initially, etc.

- Factors such as clean engine oil, clean air filter, properly inflated tires, and driving-style all can noticeably affect the fuel-economy.

1700 miles, the least I have gotten out of a tank is 417, cost me about 45 bucks on regular pump gas, at $2.75 per gallon, I'm averaging close to 25 mpg's so far. I'm pretty happy about that, it can only get better as the motor breaks in. I do drive a lot on the highway, never in traffic. From other threads on this forum, I'm glad I didn't get the I4.

Depends on where you live. I haven't paid $3+/gallon in years, I think my last fill up was $2.60 for Chevron regular. I don't even pay $3/gallon for diesel (but it's close).

I usually pay about $42 for 16 gallons. I fill up at about 375 miles (~23.5 MPG), I don't wait for the gas light to turn on.
