Is it possible to keep the radio on after I turn the car off? On my previous car, the radio would stay on until the driver's door was opened.
Is this the only way? I was asking how to keep the radio on while turning the car off, not how to turn the radio back on after I shut the car off.Turn engine off, press start button once with foot off the brake.
Yet another reason to like my keyed ignition. :angel That unfortunately I do not know if it is possible. It would be a nice feature, but I don't think honda does it. You could check the owners manual, there are usually some secrets hidden in there. Is this the only way? Car is a manual, don't have this option :|Put the car in neutral first then turn off. I don't own one but I just searched on found out that's how people keep accessory mode on.
You have neutral (between gears, don't you have to put the trans. in neutral before putting in reverse ? ).Car is a manual, don't have this option :|
Stall it? Read that in search also.Car is a manual, don't have this option :|
Loved @03LXV6's tip. Had no idea. This is a problem with the 2018, 2016 and 2015 Honda Accord Touring cars. Not only does the radio turn off, the GPS and phone connections drops off.
Now I park and keep jamming while I shave before heading into work. Love it.Put the car in neutral first then turn off. I don't own one but I just searched on found out that's how people keep accessory mode on.

Just do this. It literally turns the radio on almost immediately so you maybe miss 1 second. Massive improvement over the 9th Gen which took forever to come back on. This was a very nice surprise coming from the 9th Gen.Turn engine off, press start button once with foot off the brake.
Or use the convenient parking brake. The Neutral suggestion works perfectly except... your car will be in neutral so keep the foot on the brake if you are on an incline.
You have to turn off the engine by pushing the button to off but you can enter accessory mode by hitting the Start/Stop button WITHOUT pressing in the brake after the engine is off. This might be a dumb question, but I went 13 years between vehicles and a lot changed in that time.
Is there a way, on a push start, to ONLY turn off the engine and keep the interior on? With a key, you could just turn one click back and keep everything on. Just curious and figured someone had to know.
Thanks!
Yes, this is fine and I know how to get it to happen one way or another. Let's say I'm listening to the radio or podcast and I want to turn the car off. If I push the start button, everything shuts down and now I have to wait for the interior powers back on, loads and get to that sound again. I'm trying to avoid that interruption. You have to turn off the engine by pushing the button to off but you can enter accessory mode by hitting the Start/Stop button WITHOUT pressing in the brake after the engine is off.
At least you should be able to.
That doesn't turn the car off as far as I know. Seems pretty unrelated. You could also use the 'Brake Hold' feature.
