Is this the only way? I was asking how to keep the radio on while turning the car off, not how to turn the radio back on after I shut the car off.
Yet another reason to like my keyed ignition. :angel That unfortunately I do not know if it is possible. It would be a nice feature, but I don't think honda does it. You could check the owners manual, there are usually some secrets hidden in there.

YES! This drive me crazy. All the other cars that I have owned did this.
I usually don't jump out of my car the second I turn it off.
It would be nice to be able to still listen to the radio as I am putting on the sunshade and grabbing my belongings.
I need to try that neutral trick.

This is a problem with the 2018, 2016 and 2015 Honda Accord Touring cars. Not only does the radio turn off, the GPS and phone connections drops off.

I agree, these functions should stay on until the door is opened.

Loved @03LXV6's tip. Had no idea.

Put the car in neutral first then turn off. I don't own one but I just searched on found out that's how people keep accessory mode on.
Now I park and keep jamming while I shave before heading into work. Love it.

On to Accessory Mode

Hi all,

I purchased the 10th Gen Accord back in March and I love it! I'm driving the 2.0T Sport with the 6-speed manual and it is my first push-to-start vehicle. This might be a dumb question, but is there a way to go from ON to ACCESSORY mode with this car? I enjoy pulling into my garage and finishing a song on the radio or finishing up a phone call but it's annoying that I have to turn the car completely OFF then turn it back on to ACCESSORY mode. I miss having the freedom to go down to Accessory mode with a key...

Thanks!

2018 Accord - ONLY turn off engine

This might be a dumb question, but I went 13 years between vehicles and a lot changed in that time.

Is there a way, on a push start, to ONLY turn off the engine and keep the interior on? With a key, you could just turn one click back and keep everything on. Just curious and figured someone had to know.

Thanks!

You have to turn off the engine by pushing the button to off but you can enter accessory mode by hitting the Start/Stop button WITHOUT pressing in the brake after the engine is off.

At least you should be able to.

Yes, this is fine and I know how to get it to happen one way or another. Let's say I'm listening to the radio or podcast and I want to turn the car off. If I push the start button, everything shuts down and now I have to wait for the interior powers back on, loads and get to that sound again. I'm trying to avoid that interruption.

Thanks again

You could also use the 'Brake Hold' feature.
That doesn't turn the car off as far as I know. Seems pretty unrelated.
