Ok, so they're not really in my head.

2019 HAH Touring. I sometimes have to drive 3-4 counties away from here for work. These are places that originally, I had never been to. I put their address into the map and off I go.

There is an incredibly annoying voice telling me to turn in 1/2 mile.......turn in 1/4 mile.....turn ahead.... OMG, I heard you the first 14 times you told me, shut up!!!

I don't need the voice, I don't usually need the map (it's there as my backup because it's usually in the dark and there are few street lights, it's a dark drive and I do at times, miss a turn)

I finally figure it out to go into (pardon if I'm not in the correct order or name)

Settings
System (settings? or sound?)

There are maybe three 'sliders'. One for phone, the Voice maybe a third.... I have learned if I turn the voice to zero, she finally shuts up.

Well....not quite. The freaking girl is possessed! I'll be driving on another day....and I hear a quiet "turn left in 1/3 mile" and I know she's back.

I didn't do anything, didn't reset anything I did nothing. I just drove to work....did my stuff, drove home. Next day (or week) drive to work and she's baaaaaaaaaaaack.....

Other than ripping the speakers out of the car, is there some way to absolutely, 100% control her and shut her up?

In addition, but a side question..... when she's talking, the system sounds mute a little so that you ostensibly, can hear her (she whom I'm trying to muzzle)..... I usually have the radio or USB playing something.... and it partially mutes for this to happen. At this moment, I know she's TRYING to talk to me but HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......I have her muted...... until, she has found a way to unmute herself.

sigh.

If you are using Google maps or Apple Maps you can turn be off directions and only get alerts. It’s done of the screen.

To be honest, I have no clue what it's using. It's just whatever is in the car. Unless there is more than one location, I have found the screen to change the volume (is this perhaps the wrong screen?) and thus far, she's winning the battle!!

Now that I've figured out where to turn her volume down, it's not as annoying as it used to be. I would however, like it to be final.

Very interesting!

That implies I can turn her down same way verses having to go through the menu. I'll have to try that this week.

thanks for that!
