I'm just thinking of trading my 2013 EX CVT for a 2014 EX (or Sport) MT. I paid $18,600 for my Accord about one month ago. I live in southeastern Wisconsin, and have no issue driving a few hundred miles to get the right deal.

I'm looking for any input on how/where to get the best deal. How much might this transaction cost me?

I just test drove a 2014 LX MT today and it felt great. I think between 15 and 20% off MSRP is what you can get it for. Around $4000 off MSRP for the 2014 LX MT, 4 cyl.

Now is the time. I've been shopping for a month and am almost ready to buy one. Snick snicked my way through those gears and liked it. Going into 6th was the only misstep, but I recognized it was going into 4th instead real quick by the sound and then got it in 6th. Just a matter of getting used to it I think as I've only driver 5 manuals and not a 6th. Lots of fun winding it up and making fast shifts.

The 2014 Mazda3 gearbox required less effort and was smoother when I test drove it, but the LX felt just great too. It's got a little meat to it, the gearbox. Snickety snick... yep

More like like snick thud, snick thud I suppose.

I just paid $4,200 off MSRP for a 2014 Sport 6MT. They are getting harder and harder to find though because the 2015s are hitting the lots now.

Am getting 18,700 plus ttl for my 2014 LX MT steel stripper. Told them no more than 20k out the door. They said yes, no prob. We'll see if they try to pull anything on me when I get there.:paranoid:

I was throwing some numbers back and forth with the local dealers near me and we got down to $20,500 pretty quick.

I have to contend with two issues in order to make the trade: 1)Get a great price on a 2014 MT. I have no interest in a LX. 2)Get a fair value for my trade. Selling my 2013 outright might be an option, but having to pay 5.1% sales tax on the 2014 would probably be a deal killer.
