I hate HIDs, everytime drives by one they shine in your eye so bright like the highbeams. I think it is probably because the HID is projected so it is a cone shape instead of focused beams onto the ground. That sucks, because when they shine at night, I'm having a pretty hard time seening the road in front of me just like a highbeam shining in my eye... Anyone else thinks HID annoying and should be regulated to only shine on the floor instead of spreading everywhere and make huge light pollution around? :paranoid: ...

They do only shine on the floor, they have a very distinct cutoff when used with projectors which most HID's are.

I have them on the RL my old TL They are really annoying but after you drive with them you never want normal lights again. some cars and suv's have HID's without self leveling and those are the ones that are the bad ones but if there self leveling there not as bad. Where I live once in awhile someone will flash there highbeams , its only when I go through a rural area that they seem to get mad and flash and honk. But I wish my accord had them I know the toyotas have them on the solara and 4-runner and maybe the camry. If you have them on your car it also makes it look cleaner without the yellowish lights.

I love mine. As long as they are adjusted properly they are ok. I find Colorado People don't flash much as they are more used to them.

Texas...still old school in their trucks...have no idea what a HID is.....

I think just the opposite. It seems to me that HID's put out a lot of light but don't completely blind me when I look at them. I would much rather stare at a HID than a poorly adjusted/aimed standard headlight.

i guess im undecided on this one because although i would like hids myself, as they do light the road a hell lot better, i hate when other cars have them...they blind the hell out of me, even if they are on the other side of the intersection

especially the new lexus' have the freakin super white blinding ones

I hate those ghettofied HID's, I wanna punch those guys in the face. The freaken glare freaken hurts my eyes.

Hey, no sucker punches.... I live in West texas, and we do know what HID's are..... We hate the retrofitted HID's just as much as the next guy. :dunno: I really do not like the trucks that are retrofitted with HID's... those are the worst

I had to lower the HID's on the left side of my TSX a bit. Their not autoleveling so I got flashed a bit.

I've seen a lot of bright HID's though and its amazing how it dosnet bother you if you DONT LOOK AT THEM. Some of you guys must have stared at the sun when you were kids.

I live in Texas but I'm Chinese... so... yeah, I do know what an HID looks like :p
Yeah, but you're Chinese, so that doesn't count (that was a complement by the way).

On a side note; I'm trying to learn Chinese on my own, gosh it's hard. Those 4 tones are tricky as hell. More words, less tones please :D

I'm from the San Antonio area and I love Texas. Being away for a while, I find a few things that annoy me when I go home, but I still love it.

You drive an Accord...which doesn't put you in the 95 percetile of Texans who drive a pickup. :lmao: :lmao:

Oh brother! Funny how from the outside things look so much easier. This is probably one of those languages that you really need to learn as a child.

To all the "nay-sayers" of HID, look at the facts. HID is: more energy efficient, way brighter (safer), and longer lasting. Telling people that they shouldn't use HID, is like saying people can't use LED flashlights/X-mas tree lights.
Now if you have HID on your 7th gen and want to be polite while driving in the urban areas, you could use your DRL's.

Nobody's proven that HID's are safer...in fact we had this conversation the other day and we determined that HID's could actually be not as safe as regular halogens when you need them most.

:notworthy I love HID

I have it on my S2000 and wish my Accord has the same thing too.. but no matter what type you choose, please adjust it before you drive it at night
