Has anyone attempted to install them on a car that does not have them already?
I was it curious if it is possible and if it is, idk you think it is just plug-n-play?

Perhaps the OP is talking about the right hand side controls that some of the higher trim levels have.

The i-Mid controls are only on the Touring model and I doubt it's plug and play because the control is used to access the menu on the smaller screen where the speedometer is.

Pic is show the extra 3 buttons on the right side.

Thank you Mode360

I installed something similar to this in my 2012 jetta and it let me access the little trip computer inside the gauge cluster. All I had to do was take the airbag off the wheel, unscrew the "blank" and screw in the new buttons.
Like I asked I was just wondering if it was possible.

Mode360, love the steering wheel  I've thought about this and bookmarked the fleabay seller with the JDM's. I only wish that the wood was closer to a dark burl like those dash kits. I know that BMI (sp?) has an exchange program and will build it with the wood of choosing. Very nice touch!
