i have 30k on my v6 o8 honda accord. I am wanting to install inline filter and service trans. which line is return ?

Hi, I have installed one on my V6... there are two ways to install it.
The output line is the hose that comes directly from the radiator (driver's side) and goes to the tranny fitting.
The return line uses an inline tubing that goes to the passenger side of the radiator.
You will need to remove the two bolts that hold the fan in place and disconnect the harness to pull out so you have room to work with.
If you use the return line, you must bypass the metal hose by installing the filter in its place. Making sure you connect the input of the filter to the radiator connection and the output to the trannys fitting.
Napa has a kit that has proper transmisson tubing and clamps included for about 4.50 more.
The filter only part number is in my sig... Napa part #18514
