I guess the only way to prove you wrong is MyVtecRoars corrects his installation problem. And this is the template I was talking about
Like I said, the bolt hole that near the tailights is already there, it's not custom drilled. There is no way that you could screw up the cutting at that area that close to the tailights because the bolt hole is already there. And that is exactly the bolt hole that you attach bolt to the garnish.

Check picture below, you only need to drill 3 holes on the right and one big cut out for the reflector to snug in.

You have to take the whole garnish/reflector out and refit the reflector on the garnish again. Hooking the reflector on the garnish is a bit tricky. The reflector sticking out is probably because the installer didn't fit the reflector on the garnish correctly.

Very nice. Im jealous, still waiting for mine. Did yours came wit the harness and foam?
It came with the 2 reflectors, garnish, and 1 light fixture.

Guys, its a installation error, the whole garnish kinda squeeks when i try to close it too, they didn't install it properly.. I'm going to go back 2moro and have it fixed.. Hopefully.

Yes, you can fit a bulb on the driver side of the reflector, but on the passenger, you would have to cut a hole into it.

I'm trying to get some bulbs and wires for the reflectors, can anybody help me out??

Diy, drill the hole and find another plug. More info can be found from the original thread:

I took out another set and installed the Lens on the left to show you the fitment is perfect. That is absolutely an installation error not the garnish.
Typical problem of knockoff, looks good when it stands alone, but don't fit right when you try to align with other parts of the car during installation.

Agreed, but the tabs of reflectors either go in snugly or not going in at all. We are talking about 1 ~ 2 mm uneven surface between garnish and reflector at the area below the "stanley", not entire seam. IF the reflector don't go in properly, it's gap between the two, not uneven surface between the two.

Send it back to your installer, and good luck with the fix. You will need more time and effort to align the parts together.

Dude there's got to be 15 to 20 people on this forum who have bought the kit and Not one complained about the fitment.
You are the only one (HikaruAccord) who didn't buy from me and making all kinds of false accusation about the fitment and quality. I am not sure what your motives are, if there is any quality or fitment issues let the buyers speaks for themselves.

I hate to point this out, but I do see fitment problem on OP car. He has to adjust it to make it right. This a fact, not assumption.

Second, you claim that your trunk garnish is original from Honda, but where is the proof?

Show me pictures on the back of the garnish that has the following engraved stamps:

1. Part number

2. Manufacturing Date

3. Honda/Materials

And show me the RED Genuine Honda label on the box indicates where it's made from.

I don't care whether your garnish has fitment problem or not because you failed to prove the part that you have is genuine from Honda, which is why I DID NOT buy from you. Your kit didn't even come with the necessary hardware, replacment plastic clips and OEM foam tape that a genuine part should have.

And it doesn't matter whether your part is genuine or replica because it has nothing to do with me, I am not your competitor to sell the part at the same field. However, it bugs me when you keep saying it's genuine from Honda but you fail to prove it.

My point is, it's not cool to pass on false statement to customer so that you can generate more sales and profit unless you prove me wrong.

I have not cheated any buyers or made any false statement, they all know what they are getting before buying. If anyone felt they have been cheated believe me they will be a lot worse than you are now. And I am pretty positive that if you did buy from me we wouldn't be having this conversation now and you'll be satisfied like the rest of the groups.

Up to this point you still hesitate to provide any picture on the back of the garnish to prove your statement. You mentioned on your ebay listing that, you know your part is Honda original because the first batch you obtained didn't have "HONDA" but the following batch you have do come with it. Ironically, you are actually the one who make the assumption with no proof that your garnish is original without rigid proof, basically failed to provide Honda part number and label like you show on the reflectors.

Nevertheless, I can see you have just revised your statement on your ebay listing.

Trunk Lid (License Plate Center Piece AfterMarket or Original I am not sure. But it has a Honda Symbol in the back possibly original.)
If it's an original part, then it is an original part. There is no "maybe", "could be", or "possibly"...

Anyway, I'm glad that I didn't buy from you because I am happy with what I bought, a real deal with all the hardwares needed from Honda.

Thanks and good luck.

Cheers.

I know what's wrong with reflector now. I had this problem too when I had my garnish installed, the problem is not the garnish, it's the person who install it. The installer needs to cut a bigger rectangular hole where the back of the reflector fits through the garnish, from what I remembered is that when the hole isn't big enough, the back of the reflector gets jam between the hole and that's why the reflector doesn't sit properly with the garnish. Don't be afraid to cut the rectangular hole a bit bigger than the back of the reflector because you have the rubber gasket to cover up the rest of the hole. Just make sure you're not cutting the rectangular hole bigger than the gasket or else you'll be screwed.
I bought my Inspire Trunk Garnish from 3000gt-gto a few months ago, and the back of the garnish has those Honda and other stamps on it exactly like the one HikaruAccord's Picture, the only thing that didn't come with are the bag with red foams and white clips, I believe those clips can be reused from your stock garnish when you take it out. The first set of reflectors I received from 3000gt-gto were cracked during shipment, and I was really pisted, I was about to give him a negative feedback and file a charge back. But 3000gt-gto was a very honest seller, he answered all my emails, and he was nice enough to have me keep the defective garnish and he sent out another set to me with no extra charge. And the second trunk garnish set I received were flawless. I highly recommend the seller 3000gt-gto from eBay if you want the Inspire trunk garnish mod on your 08-10 Accord Sedan.

What is the purpose of the foam tape, and where is it applied? :dunno:Just want to know if it's worth going with OEM. Anyone with an installed 'replica' kit please let me know. Cheers!

Those foam tapes were used as insulation between two parts, our garnish has those as well all around the edges of the garnish. So when you put the garnish on there is no gap between the garnish and the trunk and it won't rattle as well. The one I got come with these:

Foam tape as insulation:

Black sticker over lay to prevent reflectors scratching the garnish:

Extra Metal brackets:

Extra Plastic clips:
