Own a Honda Accord 1999 V6 Coupe since about 2002. Recently started fixing up some longstanding issues with the car including a whole host of burnt out instrument cluster light bulbs.

I noticed after replacing the Drive light bulb (after it being burnt out for a while) that when I turn the ignition switch to the Accessory position, it lights up momentarily. See the following video:

I cannot remember if that was normal. Am asking as I know the D light is tied to the transmission issues and am worried.

Thank you

That is normal when you turn the ignition to the ON position. In the Accessory position none of the dash light come on, just the radio and a couple of other things.
A flashing D4 light is only a problem when you are driving.

Thank you for the response. I mistakenly wrote Accessory (I) when I meant On (II).

Much appreciated as the two videos on YouTube that I found with that sequence were contradictory in that one had the Drive light lit and the other must have been burnt out.
