Not every time, but some times when I am exiting the vehicle after a drive, I get the "lights on" warning tone. However I leave my lights on auto.

When this happens I will turn the car to ACC and then off again and the tone will go away.

Any ideas what this could be?

Check your under vehicle settings menu, it could be just a feature that you can turn on / off.

Is yours a manual transmission? I've had something like that happen when I hit the pushbutton key switch while I'm still coasting a little. Not sure what it is trying to tell me.

Bingo! I have a manual and do like to coast into the drive. Thanks

Not a lot before - just a few feet. Old habit from coasting into our driveway when I was young. If I did it right, I could shut the car off at the bridge over the creek and coast all the way into the drive. Less likely to wake my parents up when I was running a little late coming home.
