Nah, it'll be easy. If you can just undo a few clips then the dash will come apart fine. I could probably intall it in 3 hours easy.

Nope, I'll let the dealer install it. I read on the Acurazine board that it will cost $495 (parts & labor) to install it on the TL so I expect about the same price for the Accord. I have some advice for anyone planning to have their dealer install the Music Link - make sure you're not the first. :D

The only question I have about the Music Link is will you be able to read artist/title/album/playlist info on the display or navi screen ?

The process looks pretty methodical thanks to the detailed directions. I'm sure it would just be more time consuming than difficult. My biggest fear is scratching something or having rattles. But it looks like Honda includes enough ties and cushioning to help prevent it.

It looks like a cool accessory but for now my new XM is more than enough to keep me occupied for awhile. :) Though, if this was standard in the car, I'd probably buy an iPOD just to use the feature. :D

Wow, if that's the much-anticipated Music Link, I think I'll go with the cheaper and more flexible SNHOND3...

I was expecting better headunit integration. Plus, I want aux jacks so I can make direct connections for my Sirius receiver and iPod Shuffle.

I actually already have an SNHOND3 but the drawback to that is the loss of XM, and that it doesn't turn the ipod off if you switch the stereo off. The music link should do all of this but if I can't see the name of the artist from the ipod screen then forget it.

I'm disappointed

It's just like Honda's MP3 CD player accessory - not worth the price. It looks like we'll have to wait for the next generation Honda/Acura Music Link for better integration. I'm sure the 8th-gen Accord will have an aux. jack, MP3 compatible CD changer and maybe even the next-gen Music Link with artist/title/playlist info displayed.

why not just by the fm transmiter for the ipod? its cheaper and you dont have to do all this taking apart of the dash n stuff.

Because FM transmitters offer terrible sound quality compared to a direct line-in and the annoying hassle of constantly looking for good frequencies when traveling through multiple crowded radio areas.

you guys really should give densionusa.com a look for the ice-link device for the ipod's... it is the shiznit. allows you to use your steeringwheel controls and everything. it turns off after a few seconds the car is shut off... it is the BOMB!!! $199!

Do not buy the icelink! Esp if you have a 5G ipod. Nothing but problems. Always hangs or isn't recognized by car stereo. I'm on my 3rd one now and finally working ok but not perfectly. If you have any problems with it customer service is horrible. They stopped responding to e-mails because they are probably overwhelmed with problems. Not worth US$200 IMO. :thumbsdow

*sigh*

Okay guys..I'm very close to biting the bullet on the unit. Under 400 installed at the dealer, plus it gets covered under my extended warranty.....

www.collegehillshonda.com has a PDF of the owners manual on operations.

Slightly OT: anyone use the FM adapter with an iPod? My friend had one in his MB E320 and said it didn't work that well. I need a cheap solution (well, cheap after I buy the iPod, which will serve no other purpose) to play my music in this car. Passat took DIN HU, I had a nice MP3 capable Pioneer in there. Don't want the Honda MP3 player @ $400, but thanks anyway!

psycho, let us know if you do decide. I'd like to know how well it works and all the functions.

I'm really debating it, since I want to sell my AL Book 15 inch w/ Superdrive for a new MacBook Pro. I'm torn!
