Ok I am confused what is causing this harsh sound over my original stock radio. Since not a audio geek (sorry) but here is what happens. I have 03 accord sedan auto lx and when driving down residential street I have been hearing this loud pop sound. It is best explained like someone pulled a plug on a speaker or if you were plugging a amp or guitar into a speaker and the power was on. So I look at my radio display and its lighted up like normal meaning radio station call sound and time and lights showing but no sound for about a good 10 seconds. I reach over turn the volume dial nothing, then take hand away and it plays again.

So is there just interference or is radio dying. It has happen about three time but not in a row and just on different days and not current days in a row.

appreciated

If it is a specific speaker the it could just be a wire loose. You can also use a 9 volt battery and see if the speaker flexes when voltage is applied. If it does then the speaker should be good.

1) Had a loosewire in mine.
2) Somebody on here listed the 9 volt test.
