Is there a 11G picture thread?

Had time off, and I have been wanting to apply NexGen DIY ceramic before the paint became too old LOL. So I washed and dried and applied it today while it was cool out. Will do another layer soon if it stays cool and cloudy. Took about two ounces to do. 930 miles today.

Mine before tint, just back from the dealer. I'll take some more with it tinted. I really like the meteorite gray metallic.

Is your interior black?
I like your rear door fitment better than mine. I may study the rear door hinge and try to make an adjustment in the future.

I too like the meteorite grey. I think it is one of the top two colors for this car (IMO).

I chose 3M color stable 50%

I’m not a huge fan of the 11th but it looks really really good from this angle!

Yes, the inside is black. My tint is Formula One Stratos ceramic 30 front/rear and Comfort 30 on the sunroof. I haven't noticed any fitment issues except a slight area on the left part of the hood near the driver. I'm anal though and 90% of people wouldn't notice it.

Looks great! How difficult was the NextGen ceramic coating to apply?

Also, your hood looks slightly lower than the fender up by the cowl on the driver’s side like mine does. I wonder if there is a way to adjust it up there. All I see on mine is the hinge with bolts going through to attach the hood. No rubber bumpers at the cowl either. I already tried the side adjustment rubber bumper near the marker light, but it didn’t do anything for the rear edge near the cowl.

Thank you kindly.
you are correct in that the hood is low on the drivers side corner near the cowl. I thought about giving it a bend, but the hood is pretty solid and I know with my luck, the paint would crack. So I digressed. Both rear doors are more noticeable to my eye since the body line doesn’t line up well. I may mess with the hinges someday.

The NexGen was easy to apply. Mist it on, rub it in, then buff with microfiber towels till glossy and no streaks. I did all the exterior panels, and the glass on both sides (will do windshield and rear glass next wash day) in just under two hours.
No direct Sun or hot panels while applying. You do not want it to dry according to the application directions.
I bought a 36 pack of the yellow microfiber towels at Costco for the job. Fifty cents a towel was a good investment

Mine so far. Gonna black out the chrome trim soon

Have you decided, matte or gloss?
Wonder if CajunTouring knows that he is unbanned?

Bring him back!

Not sure, but I’ve seen a few of his posts get redacted or “Not open for further replies.” There’s one thread that is clearly gone. The post about (paraphrasing) “what did you do to your 11th gen today?”
I was looking at a thread and noticed his username had registered next to it vs banned as it were. Maybe he no longer frequents here as a result of the temporary ban?
He probably just doesn't realize his ban is over

Nice! I didn’t think the fender emblem would look good on these, but it looks great on your car.👍🏼
