K&n cai 69-1210ts

I ordered the k&n typhoon series intake last week and got it yesterday. After installation my car would turn on and then sputter with the engine idle speed slowly dropping to 0 then stalling. The oil lamp and battery signs would come on. Does anyone have a clue as to how I could fix this and properly install? When I reinstalled the stock intake everything was fine and my car worked fine.

It's likely throwing the MAF curve off really bad. Proper tuning is the correct way to go about it. If you want to see if the ECU can correct for it get to normal operating temp with the factory intake, then swap to this one. At normal operating temp closed loop will kick in very quickly after startup and start trying to correct for this.
