Sorry noob here! Wanted to get an intake for my Accord Sport. Can I get it for the CVT or is it only made for the 6MT? Someone told me you can't add intakes to a CVT so just wondering! Thanks in advance

I may have to look into this or one of the other intakes. It's hard enough to hear the engine with the radio off, let alone with it on. It'd be nice to have a little more noise so I can shift without wanting to look at the gauges. Besides, you can't argue with better MPG and better performance. Are there any downsides? Everything I've read makes it sound like there aren't, as long as you're OK with the noise and don't do anything stupid like driving into a flood.

What kind of MPG gains are you seeing?

Question about their dyno, how did they do their runs at the same time??? Seems like a made up chart.

Not sure what to get now.. K&n or takeda Sri
I ended up going with the K&N. Seems like they are very similar after reading some comparisons on the 8th gens. K&N was cheaper and for $164 I thought it was a steal. Can't wait to install it!

I remember seeing a Takeda SRI for about that same price somewhere.

So is this K&N an SRI? Looks like it from the pictures posted. Also, I know K&N is a reputable company but would this be a better buy for the discount now compared to the Takeda roughly the same price?

According to the first link in the description on the page, this intake is illegal in California.

It seems like all intake are illegal in California due to a law that was passed regarding clean air. As long as you remember to ask for a warrant if the CHP decide to take a look at your hood, then I think you're safe. There's no way he can get a warrant in hand right away to search hood.
