Is their a chip in the key? I have a 2000 accord coupe. I have an after market key that works fine. I was finally giving the two spares and 1 extra remote. The remote works and the keys turn the ignition, doors, and trunk. When I try to start, it just keeps turning over.

yes there is a chip. aka imobilizer resistor.

You can take the car and the keys to your local Honda dealer and they can program the chip. I don't know how much it costs.

Cost me $122. $77 for the key and $45 for the labor to "program" it.

Seems pretty ridiculous.

Just being so worn out that the notches were rounded and not grabbing the ignition.

I know ace hardware can program the key. So honda isn't the only place. I think when I had the a new key made at my honda place it was I think $75 for key and to program it.

Aubachon hardware in MA told me they were getting a machine in a month. No prices as of yet.
