I am far from car literate but I find it odd this would happen after I blew my radiator.

My coolent fan switch/sensor in my 2001 Accord went bad and in turn blew the tank off my radiator. We replaced both parts. Car runs solid and cool as it did before the incident with one exception.

Even letting the car warm up after sitting for a handful of time, the first initial acceleration out of first gear doesn't get far. RPM's drop in either second or third down to 1000 and it putters along. If you floor it, it shoots to about 7000 and doesn't want to shift. In turn, I'm stuck doing 30-35 until it decides it wants to do something.

Losing RPM's may not be related to me blowing my radiator but I find it too ironic that this didn't happen before but happened after.

Thoughts?
