The wiper blades on our car is the smartest design I have ever seen, period.
such a breeze to put in a new piece of rubber, no tools, no broken fingernails, etc.
About 45 seconds of labor per side.

I got a spare set of blades from College Hills when I ordered a pair of filters. I can't wait until the installed ones get streaky so I get to try it. :) I've had such a fun time dealing with various aftermarket contraptions in how a wiper blade is attached to the arm over the years, some pretty easy, and some causing new swear words to be invented.

But I absolutely hate the washer fluid change to the wiper arm. Barely any water comes out and it only stays on the top 1/2 of the window.

Larry, what filters did you use? OEM?

FWIW, I like Fram's HVAC filter, and I like the one-and-done aspect of K&Ns.

Hmmm... it seems exactly the same as every other Japanese car I've owned in the last 25 years.

Agreed... What a design flaw!

On ours, the timing seems off, so that the fluid all runs down into the cowling before the wipers start.

I hate the wiper fluid system design. I thought maybe it was just mine and an adjustment was needed to the nozzle, but apparently I am in the majority. The spray never reaches the far left and in the winter it's even worse. Currently using a loaner which happened to be another 24 Accord sport and it's the same thing. The spray pattern needs to be far wider or it should go back to hood nozzles

interesting - I have not noticed an issue with the spray. I'll have to pay more attention. Also, I wonder if part of the reason we have have such small reservoirs is the spray on the wiper is more efficient.

While I haven’t owned every one of the Japanese cars that you have owned in the past 25 years, I haven’t seen this type of insert replacement. Perhaps it is common to all beam type wiper blades?

The difference seems to be in the ease in just replacing the wiper blade rubber strip - rather than replacing the hardware for the entire wiper blade each time. For all of our previous cars from Honda or Acura, it seems like they replaced the whole arm holding the blade each time, for $20 - $30, and that's all that was available if you went to any auto parts shop. With this one, there are clearer instructions and no strange parts or retainers to just slide out the old rubber, and slide in the new rubber.

It's certainly possible that the intent was to make it just as easy for the earlier versions, but that hasn't been our experience.

It’s NEVER been easier than our 11G, whether it be Asian or Domestic.

Ran my wipers today, they cleared perfectly. Did not leave a single drop of water in the blade path. I like the new system so far, but we'll see how it does through the winter.

Interesting blade replacement. I wonder if that is because the washer fluid goes along the blade. I always preferred just replacing the rubber to replacing the whole assembly. Seemed like such a waste.

VERY TIMELY GUYS!

I just noticed (and am a little pissed) that BOTH of my wiper rubbers are "torn" at the top....about 3 inches for the drivers side and 1.5 inches for the passenger side. Very possible that they got iced to the windshield earlier this week and when wifey drove the car she just "ripped" them off the windshield by running the wipers while they were kinda stuck down. I don't recall having my Honda rubbers ripped in the past on prior cars.

Question....I assume these new 11Gs use the same basic rubber inserts as my existing Hondas did? Or are they new part numbers that I need to now go buy? I do like the idea of not having to futz around with inserting the little metal strips onto both sides of the new rubber before then sliding it into the wiper blade

They are different part numbers. No idea if they are interchangeable or if they are so different that they won't work. Actually, it looks like it won't work. They are now 600 mm and 425 mm, previously they were 650 mm and 400 mm.

Here's the 11th-gen part numbers for the rubber replacements:
large one is 600mm, part# 76622-T6P-H04
smaller one is 425mm, part # 76632-TZ3-A04

For 10th gen:
Wiper Insert 650mm Part # 76622-TDK-J02
Wiper Insert 400mm Part # 76632-T7A-033

For 2013-2015:
Wiper Insert 650mm Part # 76622-STK-A02
Wiper Insert 475mm Part # 76632-TA0-A02

(all part #s are pretty easy to find on the www.collegehillshonda.com site)

Ahh thank you, appreciate the info. Yes the "STK" and "TA0" are the ones I have extras of in the basement. They are on my older Accord. So, off to source some new ones. Thanks again

Do you guys have any experience with best online sites? Just googling these and it seems HondaPartsNow has the lowest prices and no taxes but still charges around 15 bucks to ship (I would get 2 sets each for my Accord and Pilot to make it worthwhile). Calling dealer now to see how much they charge to walk in

EDIT - local dealer charging $13.99 each. Online $7.08 and $4.89 (and no tax). So certainly worth paying a little shipping here and I will stock up
EDIT 2 - stocked up on several sets for each of our 3 Hondas....total shipping around $15 which is almost made up for with the no sales taxes, and certainly made up for with the per-unit prices that are much cheaper than either of my local dealers (one was $13.99 each and the other was $10 each but didn't carry them in stock and would have needed to special order anyway). So thinking ahead and buying in bulk can more than pay for itself.

The only ones I have recent experience with are that HondaPartsNow site and CollegeHillsHonda.com. Both seemed fine, shipped as promised. I'm sure there are other sites that may be decent as well. While you do have to worry about the vendor sometimes if you get it through Amazon, the big advantage for us there is they will ship (usually for free) to a local locker rather than leave it at your doorstep.

yep as noted above, HPN was the lowest all-in. There were several other Honda dealer online sites that had very similar low per-unit prices, but the shipping calculator showed like $41.50 instead of $15.50 for HondaPartsNow. Note there is a package listing on eBay but it basically turns out to be $21 for $12 worth of parts at the HPN prices, so still a lot of embedded "free shipping" plus you pay taxes on eBay too. If you're buying ahead in bulk I think online is for sure the way to go, unless your dealer is close to the price or is willing to match, or for some reason you just want to buy a single wiper insert today. They don't really "expire" (I just looked and I have an old one still in the package from 2016 and it is very nice and pliable). I picked up 3 of each for the Accord and Pilot, and that should do me for a long while as I probably replaced them every 2-3 years at most on my older Accord.

Yes, OEM; the cabin air filter is their premium model.
