Finally decided it was time for a nice new daily driver! So, I traded in the wife's 99' Maxima and got her this nice barely used 2007 Honda Accord LX. Only has 33k miles on it, drives perfect and has AWESOME A/C (something the Maxima and my 1991' EX are sorely lacking!). Got a reasonable deal on it, and definitely looking forward to tooling around in it. We got the 4-cyl, so I'm sure it will beat the Maxima's mileage (17mpg city, requires premium). Has a good amount of pep (more than I was expecting from the 4-banger), and the auto-trans is quick to kick down if you need more power. I was impressed with how responsive it was. It's a far cry from the Maxima, where you put the pedal to the floor and counted to 5 before it dropped 2 gears and took off.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.

No plans for serious mods, just tint and some stock alloy wheels.

Congrats on the new purchase, she'll serve you proud! And yeah, first thing you gotta get rid of those hubs!

Hopefully you can remove that CarMax sticker off the trunk. Very clean for a 3 year old car. Someone took good care of it.

Nice find! Take care of her.

And as for changing out the stock wheels, might I suggest going with some 3rd gen TL wheels?

ditto on removing the carmax sticker.

I certainly hope it will come off easily. This car is definitely going to be taken great care of. I am pretty anal about maintenance, so it's with a good home.

I do quite like 3rd gen TL wheels, the wife wants me to wait for a while before we do wheels, but I'll definitely be looking into them.

They are great cars! Mine could use a paint job, but mechanically, it's sound (lots of new suspension goodies/parts).

Someone got caught through the rear window in the photo.
That would be the lucky person who gets to drive this daily, my wife!

What's good about carmax is they do a pretty good job of preping the cars, paintless dent removal, etc.

I miss TX, looks like my old apartments back in San Antonio.

Make sure that old chevy truck doesn't leave any door dings on your new Accord!

Congrats on your purchase!

Thanks! I sure hope the truck doesn't leave any dings, since it's mine too! I'd be mighty unhappy if I hit the new car with it!

I've to got to say, I'm very much enjoying this car! It's the first vehicle I've owned where I almost have to turn the A/C off in 95* weather because it's just too darn cold in the car! Mileage on the first fill up (not sure if dealer completely filled tank or not, so taking this with a grain of salt) was 22mpg, all city. That's 5 better than the Maxima got, for a ~29% improvement!
