New 2010 coupe 6,6 member!

Just bought a black 2010 coupe 6,6 and loving it! My s2k is getting jealous :D.

Really curious how far apart these 2 cars are in acceleration :wave:

Great color, great model, you'll enjoy it. However after coming from such a balanced RWD car like your S2000, you're going to find the front wheel hop maddening when you really get on the throttle. It is also not in the same universe when it comes to handling either. The 6 speed is the sportiest model Accord, but make no mistake, it is a grand touring car, not a sports car like your S2000.

As much as I enjoy my car, it will be the last FWD car I own, can't deal with the deficiency of the platform any more. I will have to spend a good deal more cash, but my next ride will be an Infinity G37 6-speed. Or maybe by the time I'm ready for a new car Honda will have come out with a replacement for the S2000, but I'm not holding my breath.

^ I totally hear you. However, I come from the good ole FWD integ GSR (built motor), so i know all about the torque steer ;). FWD can also be fun. It's just nice to have some luxury behind some decent power. Even though I have the S, I still appreciate FWD. The torque is fun to play with. Not that the S is torqueless, the accord just feels like it pulls really hard down low where the S pulls hard at the top. I guess it won't matter since I just bought a vortech SC for the S lol. The Accord is my perfect DD! Plus, in my opinion, the coupe looks so much better than the common G35/37, Altima coupe, 350Z, ETC....(especially when you add the oem HFP stuff). Game over with the robotech accord front end and lip. Also, they compare the Acc coupe to the v6 mustang and v6 camaro...what a joke! The accord is just as fast as the stang with much better quality! There aren't as many acc coupes on the road as the cars mentioned above (granted, I see them all the time now that I have purchased one lol).

BTW - I heard that ACURA was coming out with a coupe!

Will not compare them. I love them both, The s2k is built for a purpose though. It's more of a specialized car that you can sorta throw around. To me, It's the best of both worlds since i am a Honda Nazi. Perfect stablemates imo. Since the accord is new, it's being driven more. I personally think that they are very close in speed (stock for stock). That's pretty good if you ask me. Although I have some confidence in the S.

Spatel133, Have you dyno tuned your car? Does it feel significantly faster with those mods? If you have a cold air and testpipe with those mods, Im sure you are making some good v6 power to the wheels.

the day Honda gets their heads out of their arses and actually makes a decent car that invokes excitement will be the day I return to Honda...as of late Honda's been nothing short of disappointing...they drastically need to bring out a coupe like the S2k again ASAP

seriously CR-Z? what a joke of a car...I wish it the worst in sales and force Honda corporate to reconsider their stance!!

btw nice color combo on your car I regret not getting the 6-6 every day

Who's comparing the Accord coupe to the Mustang and Camaro? And the Accord is not as fast as the 2011 Mustang. It's closer to the Camaro.
