Just put new Brembo Blanks and Duralast Gold pads on my accord on Saturday. The brakes feel distinctly softer and it seems I need to apply more force to the pedal. I assume they feel this way because the pads and the rotors need to be bedded in? I did a few 40 to almost zero runs with cool downs in between, but it still feels a little soft. Do I need to bed them in more, or what?

You are correct, give it a few days.

As well, did you wash off the rotor surfact with brake-clean to make sure there is no oil or grease?

Took three days for me. Play it safe and leave a little room between you and the car ahead.

If your going from OEM pads to aftermarket ceramic, I found this to be true. Some aftermarket ceramic pads are "harder" or require slightly more pressure to stop (and they last 2x-3x as long). But I had welcomed this because I hated how touchy my original brakes were.
