OLD POST. Can’t delete…. Sorry

So I did a compression test on my wife‘s 2006 Accord 2.4 Vtec with just under 70,000 miles and there’s no compression on cyl number one.

The next step is to take off the valve cover and have a look inside.

A quick look online seems to suggest a bad valve.

The compression tester uses air fittings so I put an air line into the cylinder and didn’t hear any air leaks. It seemed to hold the pressure.

Was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or might have any ideas.

Thanks

A broken spring would be the best case scenario. Hopefully something I can fix without taking off the head.
I did get codes. P0300, P0301, P0302, P0304.
It's definitely running on 3 cylinders.

You are correct. It does have a valve. I thought it was a straight tube.
With the 14mm adapter on the end I couldn't see it.
I tried blowing air through both ends and it would only blow in one direction.
I have the exhaust system broken loose and will try again and somehow blow some air into the cyl and see if it comes out of the exhaust port.

I opened the exhaust system just enough to slip a piece of paper between the head and pipes. Had my wife blow air down the spark plug tube while I held the paper. It definitely moved the paper and we could hear it as well.
