Hello I have a 1996 Honda Accord SE and i just went to get it checked at a smog check place and it failed because it said "No Communication Between OBD2 plug and smog machine. Does anyone know what to do? Or how to fix this issue?? Whenever I would connect the scan tool to the car it would work.

Try a place with a different smog machine. It may be a software issue on their side.

And ask if they can show that it's compatible with the '96.

The OBDII is the same for everything. Here is a video on this very issue. Basically you need to check the fuses for ECM, then unplug all the sensors to see if one is shorted.
