I was on a bike ride on Sunday morning with about 20 cyclists. At our stop to re-group, a fellow 8th gen Accord owners' panic alarm went off right next to us. At first I disregarded but when it wouldn't stop I turned around and realized it was an 8th Gen Accord. The cyclists started yelling loud about the noise and embarrassing the owner. He was pressing his remote multiple times without it working. I walked over and had him put the key in the door and disarm. After I told him how to open up his remote and clean it. If that didn't work, I told him to replace the battery. He thanked me but poor guy.

Thanks to this forum I knew how to share a solution to a common issue with our model.

That's common sense. If your remote doesn't work, you use the actual key to unlock the car.
