Obsidian Blue Pearl Interior Color Question

6547 Views 13 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  Tym2play
I've been searching through the forums, pics, and on as many honda dealer websites.

I love the Obsidian Blue Pearl color, but I have only seen gray interior (to me gray is a cheap color and tan will get dirty). I was wondering if any OBP owners can confirm that you can pair a OBP with BLACK interior (Automatic only, preferably sport model).

Thanks.

All Sport models come with only black interior.
Yeah it's gray and it ****s. Also the exterior gets so dirty so easily you may just wanna get black.

Why does dark blue get/look dirtier than black? Curious as those are the 2 colors in my possibility list. Although I probably want black leather so I guess it is black for the exterior.....just like Henry Ford you can get black leather with any color so long as that color is black!
gray isnt bad interior i have obp w gray interior aslong as you keep it maintained you should be good i get my car detailed weekly and its fine.

I have grey leather on my Odyssey. This grey looks a little lighter though - may be too light for me but I need to look again.

Hahaha with getting the car detailed WEEKLY. I have a busy family and I am typically the "detailer" too, so if I can get the car washed, waxed and vacuumed twice a summer I'm doing well! Or perhaps you are still in the honeymoon period with your new baby. I can't imagine you're gonna keep up that detailing schedule for the next 5 years but if so, I'm sure you are the most favorite customer at the car wash!

Same for mine. We actually went out yesterday and removed the back seats to give it a good cleaning. I filled a plastic bag with chicken nuggets, tater tots, gummy bears, cereal, fries and others. It was starting to smell like a trash can so that's when we knew it was time. I'm trying my best to keep the Accord a food free zone, however with two screaming kids it gets difficult, but so far so good.

I assume you're talking about your Odyssey.....yeah nothing better than folding down those rear seats and seeing what sits underneath. Last time I found a nice apple core just sitting there slowly turning brown.

What color leather did you get in the new Accord?

EDIT - I see you have the Sport, so scratch that question. You don't worry about getting a nice milkshake all over that fuzzy cloth?
No leather, black cloth. Another reason to keep the food out of the car.

I have a no food and smoking policy...u eat/smoke..u walk...lol
After almost a year, the ivory leather has held up pretty well...I was expecting a lot worse. Certain spots on the front seats have a little worn/dirty look..basically on the outside bolster of the back cushion and the outside of the seat cushion. I got this on my '03 Accord gray leather too...I clean it the best I can with some leather cleaner, but the best thing to do with the ivory is to put a towel or covering on the seat cushion when wearing blue jeans. I noticed a blue tint on the seat soon after I got the car. Got it off the seat, but now I sit on a towel if I am wearing blue jeans.

Black for me then, thanks
I have an Obsidian Blue with the gray interior. It's two weeks shy of the one year anniversary with just over 15000 miles. I haven't noticed the exterior getting dirtier than any other color I've had. Both the interior and exterior still look like new. I don't baby the car except for the no food policy. In a year I've vacuumed it five times and cleaned the leather twice (the second time just this weekend). The armrest is the only area that gets a little dirty but it cleans up easily.
I would have loved to be able to get my EX-L Coupe in gray leather. My 2000 Accord Coupe has Ivory leather and it has held up very well. The drivers seat has some wear and it's a little dirty, but it's 14 years old.

BTW I have always had a no smoking, no drinking and no eating policy in my cars. When my kids were small they didn't drink or eat in my car. My wife's cars have always looked like a trash can exploded inside.:D
my Sport has a black interior, not leather though but thats fine by me
