From purchase, as used, my sons 2007 I4 always used (burned) 1Q of oil per 1,000.
We tried different solutions including the 'BG Dynamic Platinum Engine Restoration Service kit' in May 2022. BG was the first solution that actually slowed oil consumption immediately.
Today, 18 months after the BG cleaning, my son sent this photo. This is after 3,000 ish miles of mixed city & highway. I'm over the moon with this result. Oil used is Supertech 0W20 high mileage.
