Hey forum, I have a extra taillight for my 03 accord coupe. The lense is cracked and I see a clear layer with a bubbly texture under the red outer lense. Also red lines that run across the reverse section. I want to remove/modify those parts and get hopefully get a taillight that looks clear and clean. I want to know if it's possible to open the taillight.
I already tried baking them at 200 degrees for 20minutes, and the outer lense doesn't budge.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has tryed this, or thought of this. Couldnt find anything by searching, so if anyone has any info I would appricate it.
Thanks forum

on the tail lights there is no glue, it is one piece. you would have to cut it open with a dremel or other tool. good luck

Well that's not what I wanted to hear. That makes everything alot more difficult. So if I do decide to take on this project, the best way to do this is cut around the lense. Modify the inside, use some sort of plastic epoxy, and seal it up ?

Anyone else got a better way to do this ?
