So my 2013 EX had some bad engine mounts so I bought a set of 5 to replace all of them, it had a slight vibration at idle and it drove me insane. After replacing all the mounts i got in the car to start it up and at idle it has even WORST vibration now, and yes I let the engine settle in properly by not tightening it all the way and revving it a little and then torqueing to spec. The car feels great when driving but when at stops or in park it feels terrible. It feels like I'm on a tractor. I'm not sure if I did something wrong or the mounts I got are just shitty. I've read that it could be the rear aftermarket mount that's the issue, being too stiff. I still have my old oem one that looks fine so I might try putting it back in. That rear mount is a bitch to get too, took me a few hours just for that one. From what I've seen on the internet no one has done a full replacement, or at least talked about it. if anyone has any idea what it could be that be great, thanks

The set I got on ebay: LINK.

Had experience with this in my 7th gen. All original mounts were replaced by dealer, but because of parts shortage, they subbed in a NAPA brand rear engine mount. The only non-oem mount was the rear one- and it was so bad. So even one aftermarket mount can really mess up the entire feel.

I have learned the hard way to avoid aftermarket front and rear engine mounts. The sides don’t seem to be a problem with aftermarket.

The one with vacuum port (front?) is more likely the culprit. As far as I understand, the primary purpose of active mounts (those have a vacuum port) is to modulate the vibration at idle.

I do think that the rear has a vacuum port, but I'm not positive. I've seen conflicting information.
But from the way the vibration was resolved by replacing the aftermarket rear on mine, I wouldn't discount the possibility of the rear mount.

The rear one does not have a vacuum port on the i4 9th gens, I'ma try to switch the front with the old part, that one is vacuumed, and see if it makes a difference first, mostly because the rear one is a nightmare to get to 🥲

I replaced my engine mounts with eBay mounts and it was fine, they were the lowest price I can find, still going strong.
