Hi Everyone!

I just bought a new accord V6 coupe HFP and I have a problem with the lighting on my navi and radio. I have my headlight on auto and lighting sensitivity on Med. But when I drive through a tunnel or at night my navi and radio wont go into night mode. I can change it manually but they wont dim when my headlights go on. I've owned the previous accord before this one and at tl before that all with Navi and I've never had this problem I even went back to my dealer and they cant even help me out!!

I'm desperate please someone help me!!

It used to be that the radio/navi would dim whenever the headlights were on in previous Accords but in the 9th Gen the screen seems to dim independently of the headlights. It uses it's own method to determine when to dim and it needs to be pretty dark or needs to be dark for longer before it dims. Take it for a drive when it's totally dark outside to test it.

On my EX I can Push the "moon" and "star" button and adjust the brightness for the night mode. Do you have this button?

Had this problem with mine reset the whole car and around night time turn lights on auto low beam and play with the nob thats near the milage. Thats what fixed mine.

Your display lighting may be maxed out by the odo nob stalk. With your lights on turn the odo nob stalk down one notch. Note this only works when your car is in the shade.
