Where's a good place to get a replacement air filter for a 2009 6-6? I tried searching the forums, but didn't see any useful info. Thanks for any help.
+ you never actually get it clean. You always have some dirt left on it.Yea I used to have a cold air intake with a K&N in my Maxima and it was a pain to clean.
Where do you buy yours?I use only OEM filters after the purchase of an aftermarket filter that didn't fit properly. For the extra few bucks every 18 months or so I'd rather have a filter that I know fits and seals properly. There's nothing wrong with an OEM filter and I don't believe any aftermarket filter has benefits over OEM with perhaps the exception of slightly lower cost.
Yeah but the K&N lets the engine breathe easier and adds a billion horsepower :lmao:+ you never actually get it clean. You always have some dirt left on it.
Much better to start with a clean filter every time.
If K&N technology was so great, other's would have copied it and it would have replaced paper filters, long ago.
From my local Honda dealer.Where do you buy yours?
Or, take advantage of that Great Deal that stealership was offering.....OP,
While your at it you might as well replace the cabin filter at the same time. It is accessed thru the glove box. There are simple intructions in your owner manual. Should take about 30 seconds to replace. That's how easy it is.
While you can re use it, you never get it as clean as a new one.I use a k&n filter simply because I can reuse it. I got mine for 28 bucks, which is not far off from what the dealer wants for a paper filter. Additionally, i don't think there is power or mpg gain from the filter. If the intent is to keep the customer coming back to the dealership, they are likely to develop replacable parts. No money in a "one time part. "
Totally worth it too! Who cares that with 99 bucks you can buy 6 filters that will probably last for the remaining time that you own the car heh.Or, take advantage of that Great Deal that stealership was offering.....
Only $99 to replace the Cabin Filter.
:lmao:
