Friday night a woman hit me head on. I was going about 45 passing under a green light when she decided to make her turn right into me and ruin my summer. Thankfully no one was hurt other than soreness and large headaches. I was surprised by how many airbags there were- I could barely get out the car b/c of them. Just thought i'd share my experience.

That sucks but ultimately it's just a car.....it can be replaced. Glad you came out of it ok.

All the airbags blew up even if it's front impact? Does every airbags pop out regardless which side you get hit?

listentoremix, well that depends on what the insurance company says after they asses the damage. If they decide it's a total loss than i'll have a new car. ill find out this week

All the airbags blew up even if it's front impact? Does every airbags pop out regardless which side you get hit?

For the driver seat all the airbags came out including the one's in the seat, steering wheel, side of door, and top of door because thats the side that withstood the most impact. On the passenger side only one came out.

Damn glad your safe. These cars are pretty safe, many many bags

I am pretty sure this is a loss. I would be amazed if the drivers axel didnt rip the tranny apart and damage the engine in some way, but since the car is new they will probably attempt to fix it, but honestly i wold get rid of QUICK and get something else. With so much damage i wouldnt want to drive it even if they fixed it...

most likely is a total loss...it'll cost too much to fix just the front end along...also all the air bags...but glad that you are okay =)

Once the airbags go off, it won't be the same. When the airbags in my Passprt went off, The smell of gunpowder or whatever it is they use to inflate to bag, will not go away. I say if the airbags go off, it should be totaled.

yea that's what I was thinking. The damage alone is gonna be more than what the car is worth.

Once the airbags go off, it won't be the same. When the airbags in my Passprt went off, The smell of gunpowder or whatever it is they use to inflate to bag, will not go away. I say if the airbags go off, it should be totaled.

that's one of the things i remember vividly all the smoke in the car and not being able to see anything. was not a pleasant smell. i thought the car was on fire

sorry, she decided to make a left turn. As i was crossing the intersection having a green light, she, coming from the opposite way, decided to make her left turn at the last second. i couldn't do anything by then

That was probably one of the worst headaches ive ever had. They told me if it continued into the night to go to the hosiptal. Thank god it didnt That's how natasha richardson died.. head trama right? She was fine one minute and the next not

Something like that, I've heard a lot of stories of people who were in accidents and gotten a severe concussion but didn't know it. The only good news about it is they pass away in their sleep.
