Hey guys! New member here. Always come here for info but finally made an account.

Had an opportunity to get 4 blizzaks for $150 (work at a tire shop). Only thing is they’re 225/60R17 and not 225/50R17.

I know the speedo is going to be off and my mpg is going to go down.Just wondering if anyone knows if I’d be hurting the transmission by running taller tires.

Also wondering if, and how much, I have to be careful of hitting potholes or bumps if I have shortened the travel of my suspension.
I’m still on stock springs and struts at 96k miles. I havea 2008 EX-L Sedan

The higher profile tires look much better.

Slightly higher profile helps with snow clearance, too.

Just be aware that handling is going to decrease as the tires will be more likely to roll over when cornering.

Also note the difference in speeds. You will be travelling faster than what your speedometer is reporting.
