My Car: 2007 4 cyl, 4 door Honda accord with automatic transmission.

Hello all,

recently ive been considering running a cleaner through my car to keep it running at top notch condition.

The two cleaners that ive noticed are the most recommended are Seafoam, and BG44k.

My question is which one is better to use on my car, or is it recommended to use on my car at all?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've heard/read it is the safer version of Seafoam, and supposedly cleans more s**t outta your engine than Seafoam.

But I swear by the Gumout Complete Fuel System Cleaner every 3,000 miles. That has done wonders for my car.

Do research. Google "BG44K Honda."
Plenty of stuff comes up.

I second that. Every oil change. I do notice slightly higher mileage, on the second fill-up, especially on the highway. Keeping it at around 105km/h with under 2,000 RPM (v6), I get 6.4 litters per 100 km (the trip computer of the NAVI screen tells me so). With Gumout, on the second fill up this drops to 6 litters per 100km. Do the math to convert to miles/gallons. I have been told not to go wild with this stuff because they can damage the injectors.

Sorry, I am not a big fan of liquids inhaled by the hoses around the manifold or the throttle body. Spray applications are another thing, a lot more safe because they work slowly and not with the brute force the liquids do. If you really want to clean things up, safely and effectively, take apart the intake manifold (upper and lower), the throttle body and the EGR vale passages... and clean them manually using a few cans of carb cleaner.
 
An experienced tech told me, if you use a good detergent gasoline, you don't need anything else. Of course, if you use the cheapest gas in town, maybe you do need something else to keep it clean.

I have been using RXP every 15K in all my cars for many years. Always seems to breathe new life into the car's performance.
