So I purchased my 2004 Honda accord v6 coupe about a month ago. Recently my lights that light up where the gear shift is ( that shows park, reverse, drive..etc.) went out and then my service maintenance light came on in my dash. Has anyone else had this problem?

I also went to advanced auto parts for a diagnostics test and they said it was a batter voltage malfunction.

The maintenance light on an '04 is keyed by mileage. It's telling you to change oil and filter or was not reset when last changed. The gear indicator light out could be a bulb or a fuse or both. How old is the battery? Perhaps it's time to replace it after having it charged and load tested.

RTFM.

the battery was replaced a year ago and i looked under the hood and my engine coolant fluid is low
When (How many miles ago) was the oil and filter last changed? It's a maintenance minder that tells you when to change the oil/filter.

The batter won't affect it (I had to disconnect the battery to change a headlight) and it didn't reset.

Low coolant, or anything, is not a good thing. Refill the coolant with the correct type.

Lighten up people. Maybe he is a new driver and this is his first car.
plus one on the lighten up. I used to be a member of a mustang forum and never did I see so much attitude. Almost makes me ashamed to be on this site. People come here for help and this guy has a legit questions for someone who might not be into cars. After the people with attitude read this there response to me will be "well why don't you just leave the site then". In fact the response should be lets try to help all reasonable questions.

The maintenance required light will come on every 7000 or so miles, just to remind you to change the oil and do other scheduled maintenance. It is NOT a CEL (Check Engine Light), which would mean there is a problem, that needs to be addressed. Sit down, and read through the owner's manual. You can learn a lot about your car, and you might find some answers to questions you haven't even asked yet.
