I have an '09 EXL-V6 Sdn and wondering if anyone upgraded and or installed side turn signal indicators either in your side view mirrors (would have been a nice std feature) or on the side of the car right behind the front wheel wells. I think this will give the car a very european feel as well as look extremely sporty.

Would love your feedback, pictures, DIY's and or shops (in NJ) that performed this enhancement.

I installed front fender repeaters on my Accord right after I bought it (2003).

I bought 'em at Pep Boys or some such. They are clear lense with amber bulbs. It was 2003, so they aren't LED, but I couldn't care less. They look OE.

Very easy to do (of course you need courage to drill big holes :paranoid: in your new car!) and they have been perfect ever since.

I put 'em on simply for safety. Much more visible when turning and changing lanes (especially at night:thmsup:).

See pic. below for where I put 'em on.

There is a right way and wrong way to do this application. Ricey, if it is done wrong. Not looking for FLASHY LED's or Blue Lights, but functional amber turn signals, like BMW, Acura, MB, Porsche etc.... Are those cars ricey? I would like to investigate further the Inspire mirrors, but still looking for DIY or other that have done this application.

A friend of my retro'ed a pair of amber lights from a Mercedes and it turned out bad. I would suggest making sure the shape is the same as the casing and the shape compliments the mirrors
