My RR tire is losing air faster than the other three. I check the tires with a gauge every few weeks and the one is usually 4-5 lbs. below the other three.

My question is how best to deal with this? Take it to the dealer and ask them to check it or another solution?

At one time on an older car with this problem, I pumped in some Fix-A-Flat but I hesitate to do this on a new car. I don't want to risk throwing a tire out of balance or something. What would y'all suggest? Thanks

First look at the tire's contact area- any nails stuck in there? Can you move the car forward a foot then scan again? Look in between the treads.

Next, fill a spray bottle with water and a few drops of dish washing detergent. Spray the soapy water around the tire bead (where it meets the rim) as well as the tire's air valve stem. If you see any bubbles, that is where your leak is.

Not sure what your warranty is for tires....

Do this soon- because getting a catastrophic failure on the highway is not fun. It can ruin your whole day.

Never use that fix-a-flat stuff.

You have a nail or screw lodged in nice and tight. Bring your car in a tire shop, but make sure it is a shop where the wheel is balanced after getting fixed before going on your car. Some places just mark the tire and the rim, put them back together in the same position to save themselves 2 minutes of work.

Shouldn't TPMS be warning you long before that tire gets 4-5 lbs below the others?

Are you recalibrating TPMS each time you adjust pressure in any of your tires?

You're under warranty so you might want to take it to the dealer and let them scope out the leak AND at the same time test to make sure TPMS is working correctly on your car, if you're not getting alerts from TPMS before the tire ever gets that low...

I got one warning from TPMS but it appears to allow that much disparity between tires before issuing warning. I re-calibrate when I adjust pressures but rely on a gauge.

With my 7th gen coupe, I could feel 1 - 2 lb. pressure reductions in the steering (with front tires). Although the steering is more isolated and lacks feel on the 10th gen, I still want my tires to be either on spec or at my preferred pressure.

If you have a Discount Tire near you they will fix it for free. Other tire stores fix tires for free as well. A quick Google search and you should be able to find one. Otherwise take it to a tire shop and pay to have it fixed correctly, break down the tire and patch from the inside and rebalance the tire.

A visit to Discount is in the cards. I have an account since I got tires from them for my 05. Wait times can be long but they have excellent service.

Thanks for your replies.

Update-
Discount tire found a puncture, fixed it and rebalanced. No charge.
They knew me (at least their computer did) as I had purchased my last set of tires from them. I will go back to them for the next tires I need, too.

Had the same problem on my odyssey. Went to do rotation and saw a nail. Patched it and all was well.
