this should be a nice thread that goes long & long. post what you did to your car today whether it was good or bad!

i removed both door panels. my passenger door for the past 2 days due to the rain has somehow got water on my speaker grill and also on the passenger floor carpet. i sealed up the rest of the door and sealed up the grommets even more w/ silicone on both door skins and underneath the carpet and lets hope it doesnt leak anymore.

i got a few things to do on sunday on my day off!

Headliner in the back finally came off drooping down far enough to block the view out the rear window. Glued it out of spray can adhesive, but it came down next day on the drive home from work. The first time it came down on freeway with windows and sunroof open , bits of foam were flying all over the cars interior, what a mess it was . The foam is too degraded to be held properly with glue. So yesterday I started to remove bits of interior like poop handles, sunvisors, dome light fixtures to have the headliner dropped. For now I took 4 plastic rings from CD-R spindles cut them and clipped the flapping fabric to the headliner cartoon frame on top of the rear window. I was thinking of making the ceiling fabric black if possible, but that would mean that sunvisors would have to be re upholstered as well.

It must be that time for the headliners to fall down. Mine fell and I couldn’t see out of the rear view so I took out my razor knife and cut it to the dome light.
I got some fabric on Amazon and 2 cans of adhesive and went to work. I used a wire cup wheel on my drill to clean the fiberglass shell really good then put the new fabric on. It turned out great. I stuck with the light gray to make it feel more roomy. My trim is gray with black seats. Didn’t turn out too bad.
Also hahaha I love the typo, poop handles 😂

I am pretty much jacking up the drivers seat and replacing everything on this car… I have everything in the front end pretty much replaced except the brakes but they just got dropped off (Slotted and Drilled rotors and carbon fiber ceramic pads. Inner joints of both CVs were chattering up and down and car was pulsing when taking off. All better now!

That's the adhesive I used , it worked good on my Camry. Since I am getting somewhat deep into it, a thought of starry sky ceiling crept in.

That would look really sick in the car! I should have done that lol
the one good part about the fabric falling off of the headliner is that it gives you the opportunity to get real weird with it

How did you get it out of the interior? Did you deform it? Removed seat (s), etc...?
Nice work!
Based on the shape of the vibration damper, the axle needs replacement regardless the condition of the joints/boots. Use a hammer to knock off the damper from it's original position, you will find tons of rust there.
oh it's just some random fabric that i found at the textile discount outlet in chicago forever ago, i bought it because my car is Old Man Gold and the fabric looks like an old person's couch

found one i posted here recently

it's that sand/gold color that literally every accord/corolla/camry driven by an old person was painted in the late 90s/early 00s, it sucks and i hate it
