How’s the old girl running?

(Also, I know exactly where that last photo was taken - we pass under that sign on the way to visit my wife’s folks in Wisconsin.)
Consistent, for now.

So, made a pickup in central WV to drop off in central MD.

Roads are interesting. Gotta stay on your toes. Scenic though...

Unfortunately, I didn't capture the 90 degree turn at the bottom of the 9% grade like I had hoped. Truck speed limit is 10mph going down that, for good reason.

I know someone who lives in central MD! 🙋‍♀️
It's really a mixed bag here, some towns are easy drives and pretty good drivers, like Ellicott City, others are difficult drives with awful drivers, like most of Columbia or Towson.

Delaware for work.

Here's some pics of the Bay Bridge.

Side note: was only a couple seconds away from hydro locking my engine due to lake in left lane on I97...

Sorry no pics, did my final round trip from Albany to Boston today to bring my daughter back after receiving her 2nd Covid shot. She will be graduating in May but only 1 parent can attend. I must have done this with the Accord a good 15 times or so over the 4 years and it's been awesome. Fast, smooth as silk and I can drive the car for another week after the round trip before filling the tank bank up. At 80k now and all I've done over its 7 years is fluid changes and two sets of replacement tires. Honestly, I don't think this car will be replaceable, sad.

Two stops - first, to the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, and then the Nature Conservancy in Cape May:

To Towson University! I know someone who studies molecular biology there.
(Spoiler alert: it's me).

Second fun fact of the day: my major is actually molecular biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics (MBBB or MB3 for short), but I concentrate in molecular biology, and that's easier to say.

Anyway, this is Newell Hall, it's a dormitory, and it's connected to Richmond Hall- which is where I lived for my freshman year! Richmond is missing a kitchen, and only has 3 washers and dryers for a 90 resident capacity, so they built Newell to accommodate what Richmond is missing. Resident student ID cards are coded to be building-specific for security reasons, but Richmond's card works on Newell, and vice versa. And Richmond (but not Newell) is STEM majors only.

Zoomed in a bit for this next one:

The main point of my visit today was to get a COVID-19 rapid test, it's required twice a week for all residents and students with an in-person class this semester. My forensic body fluid analysis class is in person, so there we go, BUT I decided to explore our new science building while I was there! Our current science building is from 1800 something, and it technically has heating and A/C, but you wouldn't know unless somebody told you.

Here's the lobby:

Here is a new classroom:

And here's my new lab, which I don't really care for. It looks high tech, but it's bland:
