Hey folks. I'm a Honda layman - not a tech or enthusiast. I hope you can help me out w/ a problem I'm having w/ Accord 2007... I think its an LX...

This happened twice within the last week and half. Turned on car, switched from "park" to "reverse" and midway, while changing gears, I hear a loud "click" sound, and a kind of "cough" or "woosh, as if the car is sputtering out a lot of air... and the car makes a very noticeable jerking motion. When I try to replicate the noise and jerk when switching from park to reverse again, it doesn't happen.

Both times its happened, it occured right after I started the car for the first time.

What might be going on? And what kind of car repair shop should I take it to?

ATs tend to be a little rough when they are cold.

I find that whenever my AT fluid is starting to turn brown, it would stutter when I go from N to D even when the car is warmed up. Check you fluid level and color if you haven't done so.
