Instead of reviving my Tundra thread, I figured I'd just make a new thread with some cool pictures my buddies and I take while atving in New Mexico :)

When I go solo...here's how I haul it :)

On top of a Peak this weekend. I'm on the atv on the right.

We found an overturned car while trail riding. I'm not sure how it got out there and we didn't find any bodies, but we did see bullet holes in the car.

Great views of NM

Trailer my buddy and I rebuilt for 700 bucks :) Pretty much 5k on the trailer right there and the Tundra did great. Trailer allows us to save gas :)

The thread will continue as my buddies have tons of pictures of old mines and stuff to!

Me high-centering my atv the first day out :)
Kinda dark picture, but it was night.

The ATV is more fun to haul in the truck, as off roading with the trailer is hard. The trailer is almost a full 22 feet tongue to tail and it is hard to get turned around on one lane roads.

We used my truck this weekend, but my buddy has an 04 Double Cab Tundra and my other buddy has a Yukon he will tow with.

We share the gas costs and it makes it more social than separate vehicles.

We are planning a trip to CO this summer to go atv the rockies. That should be fun.

Looks like a lot of fun! I'm jealous. Keep the pictures coming.
It is a lot of fun. If you have a lot of BLM Land around, the hobby is a blast.

Here is a picture of an old cave we hiked up to.

You can see White Sands National Monument from there.

Great pics! I used to ride a lot in high school. Your Polaris has a lot more engine than my old Suzuki quad runner did, though. Your Tundra looks great, too, btw.

Enjoy, be safe, and keep the pictures coming to those of us who can't get out there as much!

Thanks Ed. Will do with the pictures. We are going out again today (Saturday) in hopes to ride up into t he mountains from Alamogordo.

the pics are nice, but I LOVE your tundra! It outshines any F-series for in my opinion! Speaking of which, dual turbo on yours?

I love my truck and thanks for the nice words even though my picture taking skills should be ranked lower than crap. It does a great job towing/hauling what I can throw at it and gets decent mileage for such a heavy, fast, and large vehicle.

TRD Supercharger is out at the end of the month. It is supposed to put the 5.7L at over 500 HP. Since the regular cab 5.7 4x4 is already faster than most cars (0-60 5.4-5.6s) than I am curious to see what this puppy will do.

I think the only way I'd do dual turbo is if I had a diesel :)

My neighbor bought a F-350 dual-turbo recently, and even though I'm not into big cars, I drool just looking at his truck. It got to a point where we were seriously considering trading cars.. in any case, what's your take on the Fords? I recently heard that the twin-turbo diesels have a lot of problems. How about your Toyota?

I've had zero problems with the Tundra. Initially, the Japanese made 5.7Ls had some camshaft problems, but that was only a few hundred motors. Toyota had a few teething problems with the new Tundra, but all of them were solved way before I bought mine (Mine was built in August of 07). I'd buy one again in a heartbeat.

I love the new Ford Superduty. The 03-07 models had the 6.0L Navstar and that engine is what Ford and Navstar are in litigation over today. It was a horrible joint venture and absolute junk.

I haven't heard too many bad things about the 6.4L except it is slow for the power, not easy to work on, and gets horrendous mileage (10MPG). If I were to buy a new diesel truck today, I'd walk right over and slam my 40k on a new GMC Sierra Duramax with the Alison tranny. You can't get a better drivetrain in a truck and they are very reliable motors with some pretty good mileage.

In saying that, I couldn't justify the money for one (as much as I wanted to). The Tundra is more truck than I need Monday-Friday and it never feels over stressed on the weekends (try to put a full size Utility quad in a midsize and you will understand....as the tires don't fit between the wheel wells).

With the price of fuel today, the new Tundras are getting (with all trucks) some great incentives.

P.S. PM FredSVT if you want more info on the Ford. He has all of the information you need on that vehicle and any advice you might be looking for.

I do wish Toyota would have built the Crewmax with a 6.5ft bed. I find with my ATV I long for a bed I can close with the ATV in it, but that really is a moot point as I've had no issues with hauling the atv on the tailgate.

GET THE TRD..

You truck will be wicked fast !!! (talkin 0-60 in under 5.0 sec) Do they offer them for the Sequoias? I'm assuming, same engine.. the torque figures must FLY trough the ceiling 500-600 ft lbs tq.. You'll need four wheel drive for all that power..
