Enjoyed the car for a little over a month. Woke up Wednesday morning, coffee in hand and had to do a double take when i noticed it gone. Tickets? no.. Repo? no.. Dammmmmmmmmmmn really???? Me????? Just like that it set in - They got me!

My Ring cameras didnt catch anything but another one on my block did. I wont go into alot of details but two cars are seen turning onto my block. One car pulls up behind my car, and the other pulls in front about 10 feet up. passenger gets out of car 1 and approaches my car on the passenger side. 30 seconds later he enters my vehicle. 45 seconds later you can see the Accords bright blue headlights flicker on and all 3 cars just drive off. They made a few mistakes and i hope the detective that called me does his Job. Not only am i freaking livid and wish i could catch up with these kids... but then you start thinking about what to do, So that this NEVER happens again.

I have two cars on my policy. When i called insurance to start the claim process, the rep in her own words "Welp, I already know which one they took" Sad...

Honda can track it. You should have complimentary Hondalink for 3 months. If they can't, then wait for the police to locate it or just get the insurance check.

Thanks. I didnt know base sports come with hondalink?

Sorry, that sucks. Did you think they used a fob signal booster?
I think so. Took them exactly 1 minute to drive off. Not sure you can "hotwire" these cars anymore especially with push start?

I see one of those pouch/cage fob holders in your future. I guess we now know that it also works on the ignition too. I think its time for the manufacturers to solve this problem and cat converters too. We were probably farther ahead back in the days when everyone had a club on their steering wheel.
Ironically, I got a RAV4 back in August and I was surprised that even on a stripped trim it had a physical key. Maybe that's too much work for today's thieves.

Again, sorry, sucks hope the replacement process goes smoothly.

Thanks! Oh and the frustrating part of the whole thing is that insurance wants 90 days of bank statements, phone records, and ezpass. Guess I'm being investigated too..

I’m so sorry this has happened to you. I had my 1997 Accord stolen last month. I just purchased a 2018 Accord. I hope they find it.

I had an alarm & club on my 1997 Honda & they stole it in front of my sister’s house after 9AM. The police told me the club is a false sense of security. They can take a can of WD40 and spray the lock with the entire can, then bang on the lock & it will pop out. That’s what they did to my car.

No one tells you about the fob holders. I found out about it by accident & immediately got one for each key.

My friend's Miata got stolen. About two years later the Newark, NJ police called to say they found his car's paperwork on a dock so you know that car is on another continent.

There was a story the other day about people who put Apple Link bluetooth tags in their cars, bicycles etc. It'll start beeping after a day of being away from your phone but that could be enough time to get it back:

That’s not a warm and fuzzy when they can steal a car in less then 2 minutes.
Had a friend who live in love island and he use to take his fuel pump fuse out

If the thieves have an apple phone doesn’t the tags alert them too? Someone whose bike was stolen activated the AirTag immediately & said as soon as they got the alert the thieves tossed the AirTag. He found the AirTag but not the bike

Apfel doesn't want the liability associated with theft recovery, so they positioned (limited) the product to a "find your keys in your couch cushions" type of use. You want to turn off the alarm? Not so fast.
