Recently received a 99 Accord LX 4cyl from my parents for my Son. Recently had timing belt, water pump and various other work done under the hood. Father always took care of it and all regular maintenance was completed. For having 290k miles on her she runs great!

Question: There was some play in the front end (banging noise when going over speed bumps). I replace the Struts all around (they were original) and the upper ball joints. I would like to get the alignment done but I'm sure I need to replace some more front end parts before doing so - just not sure what I need to do. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Worn sway bar bushings and end links would be another source of front end noise when going over bumps. With the cars high mileage most all of the suspension parts could be worn. Specifically the lower ball joints and tie rod ends should be checked for wear and replaced if needed.
