89 accord. front left coil spring is broken so went to change both.

Problem is I can't get the suspension fork bolt off (the one at the bottom of the fork). I've got the nut off and tried wailing on the bolt with a hammer. Tried hitting it while supporting the lower arm with a jack and while just hanging there. I've tried to get it loose with an impact, but nothing seems to work. I took it off previously about a year ago to do some other work and had no issues then, it just slid right out.

I can't figure out what to do. I might have to compress the spring in place to get the strut out, but don't think this would be a good idea.

Any ideas?

Get a sawzall (reciprocating saw) and cut the bolt between the fork and bushing on both sides.

Buy a new bolt and nut and damper fork bushing. Knock out the old bushing and install a new one, use the new bolt and nut. Before putting the bolt in, coat it in a very good waterproof grease where it slides in the bushing.
