Having a strange issue with my 2000 Accord V6.
When car is cold (been sitting a few hours), the brake pedal is noticeably hard at start up and brakes will not work unless I pump the pedal a few times after starting the engine.....then brakes work normally. Isn’t there a check valve inside the vacuum line from the Intake Manifold to the booster ? I suspect that may be the culprit, but can’t say for sure. If the booster itself was bad, it seems I would have a continuous problem, not just at cold startup.
Appreciate any input.

Not sure if you've fixed this, but on regards to the hose from the booster to the intake manifold, there is no check valve. It's a straight hose.

Now, I would suggest that you look at the hose and inspect for any cracks in the hose.

The problem has been intermittent. I’ll have a closer look at the condition of the hose as you suggested. Thanks for your reply and input.
