I don't think they need R&D; from what I see online D2, KSport, and Megan Racing are the same, just different colors and labels. All of their coilovers are built in the same factory in Taiwan.

Essentially correct. You can include BC Racing in that group, as they are the main manufacturer. BCEC is the company name I believe. The coilovers from the different companies mentioned are made to spec on the same assembly lines.

Teins are made in Japan in Tein's own factory. H&Rs are made in Germany.

A lot of bulk manufacturing is done in Chinese plants now because labor and capital costs are relatively low there, and the Chinese can make any quality, it comes down to QC and specifications. Sometimes assembly is done elsewhere, or certain parts are sourced from various countries depending on what is needed and what specifications need to be met.
So... same parts, different specs or the same all the way around?

Specs can make a huge difference in quality, durability and ride handeling. Being assembled in the same building doesn't mean much unless they are truely just changing colors and labels

Actually it does mean much because if quality control is lacking, then it will lack across all brands made in that factory.

If you Google about D2 and KSport you will find a lot of reliability issues with these cheaper brands.

If they are changing specs between the brands, then it is probably just valving and spring rates.

Reliability is still an issue. It's not like they decide to make one brand better quality than others.
that makes sense. If the QC is bad then it is what it is.
I have a question regarding Camber Kit's.
Since the rear suspension of the 2013's is the same as the 8th Gen could you use this camber kit?

it says in the description for more than +/- 1 Degree to install these 3 parts together: Camber Kit [MR-6757], Traction Arms [MR-6756], Control Arms [MR-6724].

They're all available on Megan's site but TunerSports has it a little cheaper.

Yes you can. The SPC kit is higher quality and subsequently higher money.

Get the whole package together, it is cheaper. 3 arm Taiwanese made kit (aka Megan Racing, Godspeed, etc.)

Thank you for the response. Yeah I've had my eye on this one for a while

Just didn't know if I would need to replace any other pieces to go along with the SPC kit, but it seems to be everything I need.

Will be looking into the SPC kit
Only 3 arms in the rear. Either kit will fit the bill

thank you for the info
D2's installed

Very nice!! What is you exact setup on wheels and tire size? Offset also!

Thank you
Very nice. Daytime pictures please? Without all the crazy angles.

Did you keep it at the factory (D2) height/settings?
Are you using anything for rear camber.

how much drop did you end up with going with.

Very nice.
Let us know what you think of the ride with the coilovers.
