hi everyone

i just installed Progress rear sway bar 22mm and i paint it with blue metalic

so installaion was easy and car handling better in corners. so i have a question do i need to change the sway bar links ? or its important to have them change etc .. am not sure about that

Kind of off your original topic, but can you clarify some things going on in the picture. The additional bars are I'm guessing adjustable camber and toe bars? Can we not adjust camber with factory equipment?

the additional bars are camber and toe arms which can be adjust. we cant adjust original arms.

I'm not a suspension expert by any stretch, but when you say it turns better, do you mean solely the back end or the car as a whole. Does this decrease understeer even though it's on the rear of the vehicle?

I put a Progress 22mm RSB on my V6. There are hundreds of posts in a thread around here talking about the "ideal" sway bar configuration for front/rear. It looks like you have the I4 so you might want to check that out and find yourself a good FWB.

you feel diffrence in the back more, of course it will decrease understeer of your car, but you will have oversteer as well. so you have to go for the front as well. am not face any oversteer right now coz am running 235/40/19 bridgstoen 050 potenza which give me hard grip in the road.

I installed the 22mm bar....Way too stiff. I then installed the Acura TL 19mm bar...better but still on the stiff side. I am going back to the OEM 14mm bar for the winter as the Blizzak winter tires are stiffer than the OEM Goodyear tires and the ride is a bit harsh for me. I may go back to the Acura bar when I put the OEM tires and wheels back on in March. If someone is interested in the 22mm bar, I have one.

I always tighten the sways when the car on the ground with its weight on it , also with the adjustable links you can dial in preload on the bars which will make the car act different when at 95% or so of the capability of the car. Are you doing this with stock tires? If so everything will change when you put some good rubber under you like the BF Goodrich comp 2's that I will be getting soon. GL

My opinion of the 22mm bar is that it's a little bit too stiff as well. I'm considering UR's FSB upgrade (the 9G probably won't have one for a while) to balance it out. My understanding of sway bars is they level the car out in turns at the cost of reducing overall tire grip on the outside wheel. To cancel that out it seems like coilovers would be in order, but because I don't really care about maximum tire contact at all times since I'm not on a track, I'm not going to bother with that upgrade.

@OP, you don't need to upgrade the end links. I haven't broken mine yet, and even if I did it wouldn't be a catastrophic failure that would cause an accident.

The potenza is a better performance tire than the stock ones so you are good. As for links drive it a little and play with the tire pressure a lot ,and really see how it handles now by spending some time with it and then see how you like it and or what you would like it to do. If not to your liking then you can make an adjustment.

I though the TL's front sway bar did not fit, only the rear did, are you sure that the TL's front bar will fit the 9gen? the other tread said the only available front sway bar is the one from the V6 Accord (for those of us that have an I4)

This may be an obvious answer to some of you guys here, but I'm just looking for confirmation for the following: Does the Progress Accord rear sway bar (http://www.progressauto.com/products/sfID1/127/sfID2/34/sfID3/90/productID/615) fit the 2014 Accord Coupes? The Progress website claims that their sway bar will fit model years 08-13, but I do not recall Honda making suspension changes from 2013 to 2014. Did they just not update the model years?

I just joined the Honda family, so there is much to learn :yes:

my only concern shall i use softness or stiffness mode coz i have 2 hols in the sway bar.

am running now with the stifness mode and i want to know more about the end links.

You probably should change over to the soft setting to reduce the possibility of oversteer. It would also reduce the chance of breaking an end link.
