My TCS light wont turn on when i push the button! ABS light on constantly and wont turn off.

Before any of this happened I replaced my cluster gauge with a used one, and when i put the used one in, the ABS light was on. It still has not shut off.

To pull the ABS code I used the bridge method on the 4 and 9 pin to pull the codes but I accidentally bridged the wrong pins and shorted something. My immobilizer also kicked in which then prevented me from being able to start the car. I know...I know...:notworthy

I took it to the dealership and they said they replaced a blown fuse and performed computer re-boot, idle relearn, reset computer and cleared codes. I can start my car but the ABS light is still on. :dunno:

The tech said he wasnt sure why, and they may have to replace a sensor of some sort, and that it would cost ~$300 but

But Im worried that my TCS system is non responsive! I cant smog my car until its fixed! Is there a fuse I can replace?? some way to test it out? Im confused...:thumbsdow

Why would ABS light prevent you from doing emission testing? It doesn't affect emission, unless California state law requires working ABS and TCS before a shop is allowed to run the emission test?

Correct. I meant its the TCS system not being functional that is preventing me from getting my car smogged. Ill check that link you posted now. Thanks!

The ABS issue is not as urgent to me as the TCS issue at this point in time.

Today I replaced my new cluster gauge with the previous one and what do you know?? ABS lights off and my TCS switch and indicator is functioning! I dont know why the new gauge is triggering those problems. Just gonna roll wit that for now and solder on a new bulb for me CEL. Was hoping to avoid doing that with a new cluster gauge. Thanks for your help tho mate.

Were the clusters you swapped from the exact same year/transmission?
